“just loved it!”
We had to book a room last minute but we really ended up with a great room above the coffee shop (where the breakfast is also served). There was no balcony, but the windows open in front of the main square and with an amazing sea view, we couldn't ask for something more.
The room itself is very rustic, clean and cosy! Bathroom a bit small..but who cares?
The girls in the reception were super helpful, polite and ready to help. The breakfast which is served till 11:30had a great variety, but more important was a real reflection of the traditional cuisine, with fresh products. The lemon yogurt was the highlight!
Room Tip: The room above the café (if I remember well it was Number 2)

“Best Breakfast in Greece”
This fortress town in amazing and there is nothing quite like staying in a 13th century townhouse. Our room was located in the cellar but it had a charming garden and our own ancient water fountain right in the room. Sleeping under the vaulted ceiling was very romantic.
As lovely as our room was, I am very glad that we left in time for breakfast. The owner says she prepares everything with love and this was very obvious from the amazing spread of Greek dishes she had prepared. No store bought food at this hotel. Her Greek yogurt with honey, prunes and almonds was so tasty.
If you are coming to Monemvasia, treat yourself to wonderful stay at the Hotel Byzantino, you won't regret it.
