It is 80 Km from the Castletown of Monemvasia and one of the most impressive caves of Greece, thanks to the incredible formation of the rocks, which were formed from limestone over a period of 3 million years. Discs, flat stalagmites, eccentrites and elictites, geological formations resembling waterfalls, columns, “curtains”, “octopuses”, “elephants”, “mushrooms”, “birds” and other imaginative shapes, stimulate the imagination and fascinate the visitor. Right outside the Cave there is a café, while you can also visit the old church of Agios Andreas and see the traces that pirates and conquerors have left behind.
